In addition, we regret that we must CANCEL the full knockdown competition in the evening. However the daytime kata and semi-knockdown competitions for juniors will take place as scheduled with approximately 250 competitors. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience.

JUST CONFIRMED....West Island Karate is thrilled to announce that Kancho Yoshikazu Matsushima (9th Dan), President of I.K.O. Matsushima, will be making the long trip from Japan to attend the 2010 Matsushima Canadian Championships on May 29th! Kancho last attended our tournament in 2006 and it was a treat for everyone who participated. In addition, Shihan Roman Szyrajew (7th Dan), Chairman of the I.K.O. Matsushima, North America, will also preside as one of our Guests of Honour. West Island Karate is always thankful to have Shihan's presence and support at our annual tournament. Get ready...because it's going to be another very special and memorable Matsushima Canadian Championships! | |
